Earth, Sea , Sky @ London Glassblowing

2022 is note-worthy for a number of reasons: Firstly, it is the United Nations International Year of Glass, something which at London Glassblowing they were very excited about. Secondly, it marks the 25th anniversary of the Contemporary Glass Society, which Peter Layton co-founded.  CGS is the UK’s foremost organisation for the promotion and support of cutting-edge contemporary glass and glass artists.

To celebrate this milestone, CGS curated a special exhibition, Earth/Sea/Sky, that was shown at London Glassblowing Gallery during the month of July.   

This was a juried show in which selected artists showcased new and exciting works, some of a collaborative nature, either through working together with another artist or by combining materials and/or techniques. The show was curated by Cathryn Shilling.
